BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
We would like to support recognizing each child’s birthday. However, we want to make sure we are doing so in an appropriate manner. Please do not bring treats to school to distribute to other people’s children. We encourage you to be creative, however, if you would like others to enjoy the celebration. Items such as stickers, bookmarks, special pencils or erasers, etc. are welcomed and will be passed out at the end of the day. Also, teachers are not allowed to distribute birthday invitations or provide contact information for other students.
Thank you for helping us honor everyone’s wishes while still recognizing students’ birthdays on campus.
The Arroyo Vista PTA also offers another way to commerate your child's birthday - enroll your child in the AVPTA Birthday Book Club! Your child chooses a book for our library, their name is placed in the book and their picture goes on the our library's Giving Tree Wall! Best of all your child is the first to check out this book. NO DOGS ON CAMPUS
Please do not bring your dogs on campus - Some students are afraid or allergic to animals. Please be respectful of them and keep all pets off campus, even during pick up or drop off.
PARENTS ON CAMPUS
Please make sure that ALL visitors sign in at the front desk. Also, remember that parents are not to be on campus until 5 minutes before pick up time, for those that meet kids at the door. We prioritize safety and want to make sure we can monitor who is appropriately on campus. Also, once school starts, we need to ask the adults to walk off campus for the same reason.
DROPPING OFF ITEMS
All items that parents need to drop off (lunches, homework, PE uniforms, etc.) need to be done so through the front office. Do not go straight to the classroom . We will have the items delivered to the classroom as to provide the least amount of disruptions as possible.
