Reinforce Lessons over the Summer

Check out the "Summer Bridging Program" in the Quick Links or News Items above to find out about summer classes designed to reinforce your children's skills while preparing them for the upcoming grade level.  These classes will be offered to children in preschool (age 3) through grade 4 (entering 5th grade this fall).

OFFICE HOURS FOR THE SUMMER

June 19 - June 26               8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. M-F *
June 29 - August 12            Office Closed
August 13 - September 4     8:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon M-F*
September 7                       Closed for Labor Day
September 8                       School reopens - 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. M-F

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

For students new to Arroyo Vista, please come in to our office to pick up a registration packet if you have not already done so.  If you have a packet that you have not returned to us, please do so as soon as possible during our summer hours as listed above.

Returning students entering grades 1-5 who are already attending Arroyo Vista do not have to complete any registration materials.

For students entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade in September (even if you already attend Arroyo Vista) please note the following information:

Middle School registration packets will be distributed on the following dates.  Please make arrangements for someone to pick them up if you are out of town.  These forms are essential to enroll all middles school students into classes.
 
Monday, August 10, 2009           9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 
Tuesday, August 11, 2009          3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 12, 2009     9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

These packets must be completed and returned during Middle School Orientation on Thursday, August 27 following the schedule below:

8:30 to 9:30 a.m. -    Incoming 6th graders 
9:30 to 10:30 a.m. -  Incoming 7th graders 
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. - Incoming 8th graders

  • Students should come dressed for their school yearbook and I.D. Photos
  • Students will turn in the forms from the packets mentioned above and pick up their class schedules.
  • P.E. Clothes and Spirit Wear will be available for purchase.
  • If students are not available that day, parents may turn in forms and pick up schedules
  • If no one is available on August 27, packets may be returned to the office AFTER that date.
  • For students who cannot make the August 27th date, photos for yearbook/I.D. cards will be taken after the school year begins.
  • Forms cannot be returned earlier than August 27.

PTA School Supply Pack

Below is a copy of the order form for the supply packs organized by the Arroyo Vista PTA.  If you'd rather get all the supplies in a pack instead of buying them individually, this is a handy option!  Though you can't turn in the form to the school after June 18, you can order directly from the Innisbrook Website until July 1.  Their website is listed on the copy of the form below. For questions, please contact Tina Bond at 459-2034.

Report Cards

The District has asked us to send this reminder to all parents:

Each summer we receive numerous phone calls from parents requesting copies of their student’s report cards throughout the school year. Each year the problem has been growing and this year was no exception (over 100 reprints).  Please keep these report cards in a safe place that you will be able to locate once school is over. If your son or daughter anticipates participating in Pop Warner Football or Cheerleading they will need to provide a copy of all 4 quarters of the report cards for middle schools, or all 3 trimesters for elementary.
